all about me

Hello my name is Beth and I am a professional dog groomer. Here's my story and a little you may want to know about me...

Being a dog groomer wasn't always the thing that I thought I wanted to do growing up, but I always knew I wanted to work with dogs. As soon as I left school for the first year, I started training as a vet nurse however, I soon realised that this environment was not for me.  So, I have spent the last three years working with my dad and his business, which provides housing and enrichment for small animals. This was incredibly rewarding and  inspired me to create a business of my own. Having my rescue dogs so close to my heart and knowing that they have all been so mistreated in some way, I knew that dog grooming would most definitely be the job for me. I love to care for all animals and helping your dogs to feel comfortable and look their best is always my top priority when in my grooming salon. The best part of my job is to see their beautiful waggy tails and happy faces.

meet the family

All of our animals here are rescues as I love to give the oldies a second chance and a new lease of life. Here we have two dogs of our own Bat and Iru who I love and adore, both of which are rescues from Spain from a charity called SeBPRA. We also have a Bengal Eagle Owl and a Royal Python. I have many of my own pets too; two rabbits Robbie and Kitty who have a giant outdoor run and love to snuggle with each other all day, they are very much in love. I also have three guinea pigs Boris, Poppy and Poppet who have very strong characters within our household, wheeking at any sound of food. Last but certainly not least I have a Syrian hamster called Wren, who lives in a very big enclosure where she absolutely loves to burrow down deep and dig all night in his sand bath.

tilo (a.k.a - waddle)

Tilo was our family dog, who is the inspiration behind all of this so I thought I'd give you his back story...

Tilo spent seven years of his life living in Spain, he was owned by eight different hunter owners all of which passed him off one by one when he was no longer useful for their needs. Tilo never had a home, never had the security of a shelter, food or warmth and was constantly scared for what might happen next. His very last hunter owner left him at a pound, he had lots of tumours all over his body and was ready to give up. Thankfully SeBPRA found him and stepped in to help give him a new lease of life and a chance to live. That's when we found him, Tilo was up for adoption just at the right time, we had been through a lot as a family and we needed a dog like Tilo just as much as he needed us. Prior to us finding him, he had been living in a foster home close to us in the UK, so knowing that he had been safe for a little while was definitely something that he deserved. We adopted Tilo and he lived the best three years of his life with us "waddling" around (hence the nickname) enjoying long walks and having lots of zoomies around his favourite fields. He loved sitting in the garden watching the squirrels, and loved being groomed, closing his eyes and snoring with content. Sadly, we recently lost Tilo but he will always be with us he was such a special boy and he will never be forgotten. He will always be so loved and having him taught me that all dogs deserve to have the chance to be loved and treated the best that they can, no matter their story. So as a groomer, I aim to do just that.
